Although the news from last nights meeting was on the positive side, and wishing to be realistic rather than negative.I do believe we have heard it all before. When you read about "the final aggreements" "before they are signed" etc etc and reports I have heard today of KP telling fans we are there ,we are on our way etc etc. Some fans have informed me today work will start on the ground next week ,the week after? every one it seems has a different version to tell.I dont know what was on the radio I had it on all morning ,didnt hear anything ,I couldnt find anything on ceefax or Meridian there are only sketchy details on the Club website.Have I missed something? So I dont think anything has really changed!!! I will believe the biulding of the new ground when I see it and until then remain SCEPTICAL!!!!!!!!

Whilst not being sceptical,i just think we need to continue tobe very patient.

Good news so far.

Just slightly concerned that a developer/JV partner could pull out anytime. Many developers do if they get a rebuff, and as yet there is no planning application in for the non football scheme, and i'm sure that will take a good 6 months to resolve.Just hope the joint venture partner stay with us ,and do not lose patience over their scheme.

What i am unsure of is whilst their is planning permission for the ground, whether the JV company will allow and fund works on that ,whilst they work up their own planning for the commercial scheme.

Think this is the big question at the moment.

Does anyone know the answer?

Perhaps the new supporters association could get Mr Glover to attend a meeting.

If the JV company will not release funds for ground build until they get their planning permission, then i reckon it will take 6 months for them to get planning, allow 3 months for further 'cooling off' period post planning ,2 months mobilisation and thus build commences about June next year with ground ready for 2006.

This is not intended as a pessimistic post, since we are obviously alot further forward than a month ago; but simply trying to lower expectations and bring possible reality to the situation.

On the other hand, if the JV company will commence/fund the ground build straight away

(brave if they do and jolly good chaps they must)it really is fantastic news.

Just think we need to know if build of ground is dependent on planning for the commercial scheme, in which case we must be very patient but not despondant

Regardless of recent news I'm sure there aren't that many fans out there shouting too loud yet.Think we all know that we have been here before then to be let down again, and most, I think ARE awaiting movement within the ground before going through any real celebrations.
