Have you guys all forgotten about Steve West and how well he performed for the Urchins in the early part of last season??????

Well, i heard he was out until December after injuring his league in training !!

Probably back mid november is what I heard, but should have no real trouble making our first eleven, wouldn't you agree?

Well if i was to drop someone it would be Matthews, as i have see Mcarthy play against Boreham Wood and thought he was brilliant !!

 

But if the defence is doing well when he returns to fitness he might have to wait a while to get his chance !!

I see you're point, and by the time he does come back it will be almost a year since he played for us.

 

But loosing him last season was certainly when our form dipped.

 

TO tell you the truth, I'll support any urchin and have done when there were only 35 peaople watching and it was only £1.50 to get in!!!

 

I have a feeling this will be a season to remember, lets just hope we get a decent cup run again and maybe a good home draw.

 

Tranmere was our high point last season and we need that again for even more local interest.

Same here Bridgey, don't know any of these players from Adam at the moment! Haven't seen any pre-season's so don't know what any of them are like, I'm sure GH will pick his best 11 though.

Matthews was brought in so Westie could play up front, so reckon that's where he'll play when he returns. Like you say, he wouldn't have played for a almost a whole year so surely he'll have to fight for a place in the squad that's HOPEFULLY playing well!

I think by the time he comes back into the squad, GH will know he's needed!

But I just can't see it being up front myself.

The guy was quality at the back and too be honest, nothing special up front. When he gets back to fitness I'd stick him at the back, assuming he can get back into the team.

Judging by his fitness before the leg break he should waltz back into the side, and I agree with Lord, I'd use him in defence.

 

I think the urchins have more than enough up front.

And I don't mean the unchinetts!!!!!
