I am now starting to get very irritated. You come onto this Forum with many observations. Now you have been asked a series of simple questions, which require yes or no answers. As a politician these are legitimate questions to give the wider electorate a view of exactly where you stand. Why the continued evasion and obfuscation?

 

Either you want to support the Town's football club or you don't - which is it?

 

Your silence on all these issues which have been raised with you is beginning to look like bullseyes have been scored.

 

As I said before, you are just coming on here to wind us up and you do not give a toss about the issues surrounding the Club. If that is the case, just say so, so we know precisely where we stand with you, and you can go away and represent Britwell, and leave the rest of us to have some serious debate. It is clear that any new STFC facilities will not now be in Britwell so you have no need to contribute further to the debate, unless you wish to be constructive.

 

So here is the challenge, answer the questions that have been posed to you, honestly, or admit that you will not do so and we can take it that the answers you would have to give would not be ones you would want in the public domain.

 

As you seem to often challenge others - put up or shut up time. No hiding behind "not your job to educate or enlighten...."

You have just said you would work with a small set of Fans - the Trust Board is just that - have they heard from you? A posting on a forum is easy enough to do - if you really are serious, write to the Chairman of the Trust and tell him exactly what you are prepared to do to help, and how you would like to organise it - you are the Councillor - if you really are......

 

Do you believe that Slough Town Football Club ought to have a stadium commensurate with its level of football within the Borough of Slough, at which it can earn sufficient revenue to enable the club to be independent?

I suspect from another post, you do not think the council should help, but it would be nice to see it clearly stated. But as the Council controls planning applications, we have no choice but to deal with you (the Council).

 

All easy enough to answer, I would have thought, to let us know exactly where you stand, but all we get is yet more evasions - answering questions with questions, deliberately misunderstanding - answering a question which was not asked, attempting to bully people by making sly comments like those about Martin, all the games we watch politicians play every week. Paul, if you had been paying attention to Martin at the cabinet meeting you would understand why a return to Wexham Park is not an option, hence why nobody has been in touch.

 

More to the point, if we did want a meeting, it would not be cloak and daggers with a off the record memo to sign as you've proposed to us previously, and I understand you met with three people associated with the club in Chris S, Mike L and Roy M, who quite rightly, refused to sign this daft agreement you presented to them.

 

Perhaps when you begin to pay attention to what we've said before, we may be slightly more interested in what you have to say.

gets into office and thinks he's a big shot. He's just one man remember, who suceeded in his election pledge to get rid of a stadium on his much beloved Kennedy Park. Now, he's also got to face up to the fact that Britwell could now lose the regeneration scheme if there are indeed more deprived wards within Slough. Bravo Janik, bravo!

Unlike the IBR survey that was sent out regarding Kennedy Park which had extremely biased wording, was not conducted in an independent manner and the findings were based upon a pitiful response rate which can not be used by any rational person to construct the generalisations that you and the other IBR councillors published.

Putting private individuals addresses on fourums is not good practice however you are a public individual by you own choice of becoming a councillor and therefore need to show you are accountable to the electorate.

 

So for the electorate of Britwell answer the three questions asked or lose all credibility.

I find both of these statements offending considering that you have no grounds to base your comments.

 

As you are a councillor who has signed up to Slough Borough Councils Local Code of conduct for Members.

 

I must remind you of clause 4.1 (a)

 

4.1 A Member must not in his official capacity, or any other circumstance:-

(a) Conduct himself in a manner which could reasonably be regarded as bringing his office or Authority into disrepute.

 

With the above statement in mind I await a full withdrawal of your comments and a full apology.

I find the denial very interesting in view of this description of his role posted by Cllr Janik himself several months ago.

Sounds exactly the same thing to me, but of course I beleive the Cllr's statement that he knows nothing about it.
