ETFC Neil
Hi, Enfield Town moderator here.
Like most things, change is inevitable. I had to change my club AND my forum lol. I used Bravenet until they started shoving in loads of pop ups and this forced me to look for other forum hosts.
What I really like about NLF is that it keeps all the posts available to read. With Bravenet they vanished off the bottom of the page. Another reason for changing is that it is easy to ban people by email address if they get out of hand. That's a feature I have not had to use so far because the majority of posters I have encountered have been positive.
I had a lot of people ask me why the change. Now the majority have accepted it and with 1,400 posts in a short space of time in a moderated forum I feel the figures justify my change. What I am saying is give it time. Once people register to use their club forum they tend to look around at what else is on offer.
Guest
I hate to say it, but I prefer Surrey Systems! (Sorry Gary!)
Roy
Not too worried which forum we use. I got on with all the others. I tend to use it for news, match details and results. Also helps me keep up to date with events. I'll get used to it!
Guest
Having 2 forums open is stupid. You need just 1 which everyone wants to use and visit. People are saying they like the Surreysystems one better, i agree. This one is too jumbled up and (not meaning to sound rude) cheap looking! The layout of the Surreysystems board is better and more people are visiting it. Disc server or Surreysystems are the best boards!
