[color:"blue"]Final score - Margate win 2-0 - with second half goals from Moses Jjunju and Rocky Baptiste

team Gk: Scott Ward, Defence: Oates, Annon, Edwards, Francis Duku(ex:G&N) & Mark Green Midfield: Clarke, Peter Benevides & A.N.Other

Strikers: Baptiste, Pulman

Played first half with this side - we struggled a little in the first 15mins then got into our stride & it was virtually all Margate thereafter.

Duku looked big & intimidating, something we've really missed in defence. Goalkeeper was Scott Ward, ex: Luton / Dulwich Hamlet - didn't have a lot to do - no real shots to save, but was involved in a first half mix-up which could have been a penalty.

Second half the defence had little or nothing to do, we showered the half with substitutions - Moses Jjunju looking especially sharp also Pat Gradley (ex:G&N)/Keister/Fred Belade/Wayne Brown.

Performance was 200% better than at Ramsgate.

Saw Darren Watson at the game, but he was standing behind the barriers in the 'crowd'. Will try and sort out some more details soon.

Agree with Peter's summary of the game.

Would add the following-thought Tonbridge were better in first half and certainly had chances to be at least two goals up.

Think the missing link was a Carl Hutchings-him with de flowing dreadlocks.

Do not wish to be harsh on what are probably trialists but of the new guys on show in first half would say that Harding was just about ok,but unfortunately was not impressed by Benvides.

Above all though and this will make me unpopular i could never see much in Pulman and this was confirmed tonight-frankly i thought he was very poor.

Francis Duku was ok-slightly shaky start but improved as game went on, and think he would make the grade.Looked half stone overweight and a bit unfit, but to be fair i think he had two bad injuries last year at Gravesend, and as i said , had a decent second half.Good to have some height and muscle at the back.

Scott Ward did not have a real shot to save so difficult to comment. He did look confident however and good to hear him shouting alot.Distribution good, not sure on his shot stopping ability, but almost too confident/casual at times.

As Peter said, totally dominated second half.

It was inspired by Keister, JJunju and Grady who replaced Benvides, Hutchigs and Pulman. All three of these introductions played well.Moses looked vastly quicker ,more penetrating than Pulman, and whilst i have not been JLK greatest fan, he ran the second half and played well

Unusually, despite other substitutions, the continuity was maintained athroughout second half when the team looked good .

All in all 18 players on show.No substitute goalie, but other subs includedWayne Brown-think he was a burly striker,Fred Brelaide, and at the end NO 12 who was a strongish defender who only played 10 mins but looked ok and again was impressed by his confidence.

In fairness, the subs in last 15 mins. did not get any real chance to impress.

Should have mentioned earlier that to me, Mark Green at left back was very impressive-best left back seen in Gate shirt for long time-certainly better than Danny Murphy!Quickish, strong, never gives up -a real find imo.

Overall i thought it was good and proper match, amongst the 18 players on show, if CK can sign them there is a team that will certainly be worthy of a mid-table finish and possibly better.

Well worth supporting .Whilst i think there is a decent 11 players-not sure if there is enough quality on show to have a decent squad,so if injuries, suspensions, tiredness etc. we could suffer, but definately there are 11 players worthy of conf. south standard.

Of course what we do not know is who wil be signed on.

Definately need another striker-personally did not see Watson there(you can hardly miss him) but would be great if he was and were to be signed.

Overall it is very encouraging on the playing front so far.

The team spirit also seemed good, even though they did not know each other!!It seemed like they wanted to play and win and help each other through.

Just to play 'Ron Manager' for a minute and purely on evidence of what i saw tonight, my first choice team would be:

Ward,

Oates,Duku,Edwards, Annon,Green

Gradley,Keister, Clarke.

Jjunju,Baptiste.

sub:Hutchings.

After that , icould not get too excited about anyone else, but 2 more friendlies to find new talents, or those also on show tonight to play better and impress in the next 2 friendlies.

[color:"blue"] Mark Green came from Gillingham - played last season for their reserves, Carl Hutchings from Farnborough, Wayne Brown from Erith - can't find anything on Fred Belade.

No sign of Che Stadhart, Paul Abbott or Conrad Whitby.

Good result, I dont know how good the clubs report was, as it seemed to make out Benevidies was good, this doesn't seem to be the feeling of michaelmichael, Althought I do agree with him over Ian Pullman, his very quick, but against Ramsgate he was poor, hes to small and loses the ball very easily, Rocky stands up to challenges, and isn't easily knocked about, really Pullman can only ever be a substitue, and a bigger striker is needed for first choice.

Always a shame to criticise, but just was truthful about Ian.Hope he plays a blinder in next couple of games but yes we do need a big strikerr. Not so sure that Rocky will sign .

Moses was vastly quicker than Pulman, albeit helped by a better midfield performance.Gradley looked good and maybe he was the Abbot look-a-like at Ramsgate

To be fair to Benevidiess(where is he from) he did a few things ok, but also lost ball easily.Probably deserves in my valueless opinion another go.

Yes, I felt against Ramsgate Benevides (aparantley from Canada) looked good, and also Jjunju looked promising for the (10 mins?) he was on the pitch. Failing to get Rocky, aparently Braithwaite is still avalible, (if the KM Extra was to be believed) and possibly Nationwide South would suit him! Darren Watson and Che Stadhart also both seem to have not signed for any one, and im sure wouldn't sturgle in Nationwide South either

Repeating myself a bit ,but Mark Green looked a really good player and feel his enthusiasm and energy would reverberate around the others.

Read elsewhere that the goal keeper is highly rated.

Just hope the club are in a position to offer some contracts.

[color:"blue"] Purely from last nights match it looks as if we have got the better of a swap deal if you compare Francis Duku to the Graham Porter of most of last season. Duku looked strong & authoritive .. most of last season Porter was the weakest link in our defence. Lets hope Duku signs.
