Black cab from Morden underground will cost you a tenner, walk from Sutton station about 15 - 20 minutes or jump on the 80 bus outside Sutton station which goes down Collingwood Road, short walk through the park. The bus drivers will normally give you a shout if you ask them nicely!

Good luck, look forward to seeing you on the 14th!

Just been told that Collingwood Road has been closed off for the repair of gas mains or something so the 80 bus might be on diversion and not go as far as Collingwood road!!

Typical, try and be helpful....!

On that basis cab from Sutton station should be under a tenner or walk the length of the High Street, turn left at the bottom by the Crown Pub, then turn right at the mini roundabout on to Collingwood Road. Walk past The Sydney Arms (definitely don't go in there!) up to the railway bridge and the entrance to the park is on your left. Probably a 20 minute walk.

Not as bad as it used to be but generally full of tattooed women (my kind of girls!) and Chelsea 'hard cases' - Not always a good place to be wearing colours of any team other than Chelski.

Taz and his boys are normally in the Robin Hood before most games and will make you welcome - turn left at the mini roundabout and walk up Collingwood Road and you'll find it. Not quite the shortest route but probably easiest.

Aside from that you've got Weatherspoons, All Bar One, Hogshead and various trendy type pubs all located at the top of Sutton High Street to choose from.

If you do drive and use the M.25, clockwise via Q.E bridge, turn off at Reigate, and head north on the A.217.

Will only take about 15 to 20 minutes after leaving the M.25 assuming no roadworks !

Ok! Collingwood Road is now open so the 80 bus from Sutton station is on!

However! For anyone driving, Gander Green Lane is now closed at the junction with the A217 so turn off at St Dunstan's traffic lights, right on to the A232 Cheam Road, then left at Sutton cricket club on to GGL.

Sorted!

Millsy what's the pub called opposite the entrance to the ground? There's a really decent chippie a few shops along from it.

That'll be The Plough, perfectly good local and has to be the nearest pub to the ground unless you're heading for the Collingwood Rec entrance / Collingwood Road.

I occasionally drink in there but won't be this Saturday, I don't think it's that busy on match days with most people going to the clubhouse(or Taz and Co going to the Robin Hood.)

The chippie's not bad either for some pre-match stodge!

Yep that's a decent pub. Has got a big screen in there as well. On the two occasions I've visited Sutton with Canvey we've elected to go in there rather than the clubhouse.
