Led Zep are heartless, racist pigs...

Are Led Zep any good Zeal? Would they be a worthy lesson?

Listened to the poly's again last night. So much better than George Michael at the moment!!!!!!!!!! (well infact i should have listened to George Michael - For the feet side, rather than for the Heart side, but i'll never learn!!!!!!!!!!).

Felt really relaxed and i felt a warmth of happiness come over me when listening to the Poly's. i love that album. I think i'm going to copy it!!!!!!!!

Led Zep are great. I think alot of people think they're just a straight down-the-line heavy metal band, but they covered so many different genres. Yes, some of their live stuff last for ages with 10 minute drum solos and 15 minutes guitar freakouts (lovely), but alot of the studio stuff is more restrained and focused. I think I would recommend Led Zep 2 and Led Zep 4 (When the Levee breaks is wonderful) as jumping on points, but they'll all great (well, In though the out door isn't the best!).

Led Zep are superb, and Zagreus is correct in saying they aren't a straight down the line heavy metal band. I've been listening to one of the remasters albums the last few days and songs like Trampled Underfoot(the first song that came to mind) are simply not heavy metal..

I've never thougt of Led Zep as being heavy metal. More bluesy rock.

I find them terribly bland, and have tried on a number of occasions to get into them, but have failed.

But enough people seem to rate them very highly, so I'm reluctant to write them off. I have Early/Latter Days at home, and still give it a go from time to time.

They just don't do it for me, though, I'm afraid.

I think Led Zep are great, but would say I like they change from blues/rock to heavyish rock. Led Zep II is certainly my favourite and it's bluesier, if that's a word. The rock stuff is pretty superb though, 'Kashmir', 'Stairway' and 'Whole lotta Love' are pretty unsurpassed.

Even Zeal admitted he liked 'Thank You', he might just have been trying to be diplomatic, but I can't believe that!
