Has ours been the worst pre season preparation in the history of non league semi pro football? CK must be despairing.

No there has been worse 1995 for one and kinstonian did not play one pre season friendley a couple of years ago and did not start league games till mid sept. SO THERE

What do you mean by worst? We don't know what CK is doing or what training and selection is going on out of our sight, but I'll bet a lot is.

Let's have a look at Saturday's showing before we go off half-cocked.

Plus we should remember what a manager we have in CK, and perhaps trust him a little bit to know what he is doing.

The proof of the pudding is in the season, let's judge by performance then.

And to be honest, last year wasn't the best. But I'd settle for no pre-season joy, survival in this league winning most games at home, and a definite date for the return to HDP.

Guess the next clue comes tomorrow night after Tonbridge friendly.

Had another 12 days after Ramsgate to try and get a semblance of a squad.

Fingers crossed for pleasant surprises on playing front, but got to say i fear the worst

MFC should not be a secret society.It is a business with customers and it should be stimulating the demand from those customers, by creating interest;and major way to do that is give some info about what is happening on the playing front.

If nothing else , it would help deflect from the apparent mis-management over the ground, and at least CK could still show that he has something about him.

His role is manager i believe.I have alot of time for him,and as a manager imo that role is wider than a coach where i would agree with your statement, but a manager has alot wider responsibilty of which CK is very capable.

Sure football is a business, but do you think a shop or factory would discuss its internal programs,suppliers and stratergies with joe customer. I dont think so.

No, but to survive it would have to tell its p customers about its new product, or it would find itself without customers.

Whilst i maintain that the club should reveal some player info(as apparently in todays local paper) having seen the Tonbridge game would have to say that Chris and his team are close to getting a decent team together.

I think there are 11 decent players there-more work to do to get a decent squad but its alot better than i thought it would be.In fact, i thought it pretty good, so to be fair CK seems to be doing his bit for us, and has possibly and quietly assembled a decent team if he can get them contracted.
