Take that as "not too well", GHA.

A sore topic, I believe.

A doomed idea from the start, gives me no pleasure to see that my suspicions have been confirmed.

I did try and warn Ms Baxter a few weeks back that no-one would be interested, but I was told to fk off, mind my own business, and that it would be a major success.

Hate to say I told you so, as the Hives sung in 2002, but...

GHA, when ever a conversation is started asking me how things are doing, it's usually doomed for critism.

As it stands, i can not see it happening. Everything else is fine, but we can not advertise and therefore we cannot attract the ladies' attentions as the only people who come to city games are male.

You can advertise in the ground and the programme, but we wanted to advertise outside the ground as thats where we would find the ladies!!!

Because of the lease on the ground - we cant do that.

It has to be word of mouth and well, word of mouth has been negative so far, so we aint gonna get the numbers.

In this case, I don't think advertising would have helped to sell many tickets.

As I explained to the girls, all the posters would do was to tell would-be customers where they can buy tickets.

And no would-be customers are going to go out of their way to the football club on a matchday to pay for and pick up tickets to a night where they won't know anyone, in a clubhouse they've never been to.

An effort that should be applauded, but unfortunately an idea that was destined never to succeed.

Hasn't been cancelled at all, but where are we going to find the ladies?!!!!!!!

We can advertise at all outside of the ground. Laz can clarify much more as he understands it better than i do, but no posters or advertisements can be done.

Doesn't even matter if we do say tickets available on night - how will they know about the night if we can't advertise?

We have told the blokes that come to the clubhouse to get their ladies to come. Their answers: i'm not letting my wife/girlfriend see another bloke undress/naked etc.

They have been totally against the idea, and i'm sure if their wives/girlfriends found out they said this, they wouldn't be happy.

We are putting something in the program, and have posters up, but at the moment, only a sale of 2 tickets.

Most wives/girlfriends would have no interest in seeing a stranger get his [****!!****] out, Claire.

If some stranger got his [****!!****] out and waved it at you outside the confines of the clubhouse, you'd probably be completely disgusted and would contact the police.

I honestly don't think I know one woman, yourself and your friends aside, to whom a stripper actually appeals in this day and age.
