Generally FFUSA posts are quite supportive in my opinion.

Often sends out a rallying call to the fans;and if nothing else sometimes we need outside opinion to give us a balance and reality check.

As long as views remain non abusive ,i say carry on.

Gravesend are not scum, they are actually quite a reasonable team, although I would always want us to beat them.

FLEETfanNO1USA was one of the first guys to come on here and sympathise with our plight and I for one think he is a good guy who loves his football, albeit a misguided one in his choice of who he supports!

A bit of news or anything would be good right now as we are getting into mindless wittering again.

We at Fleet have a long history of hating our local rivals (such as Dartford, Maidstone and Sittingbourne ) if for no other reason than they WERE our local rivals. I'm sure the feelings were mutual, and for the same reasons. It gave us ABSOLUTELY no pleasure to see the demise of these three proud clubs, and cost us a lot in welcome gate receipts.

It was only banter from local rivals, and we long for that rivalry to be rekindled. We are now in a symbiotic relationship with Dartford as they groundshare, and none of the rivalry with them is present at the moment, but will no doubt return when they build their new ground in Dartford.

Your anxiety is shared by us all. We DO wish you well, even over the years we have said that we hate you (but purely as our local derby team) and the rugged style of football you played.

 

That fact that Fleet fans check your forum so often is a sign of genuine concern for Margit's continuing existence and wellbeing, not to snipe and redicule your preent crisis.

Who can tell, that fox Scally wants to build his new astrodome next door to Stonebridge Road, so it could be us with problems in a few years time.

 

Try not to take it personally, Cookie, we are all rooting for you against what is obviously a corrupt council with ulterior motives,

desptite the odd flippant comment.

All this crap is a result of having a Margate forum provided by Gravesend. It's a sorry state of affairs, much like everything else connected with Margate FC at the moment. It'd take a matter of minutes for somebody with a bit of knowledge to set up an independent forum / message board on the net. Whatever happened to the days of having 4 or 5 Margate websites ? Now we've only got one.
