Exactly what was wanted - well more or less. I was part of the delegation to the council on Thursday and that is what we tried to explain that we wanted. Indeed the council indicated that a sports ground may be included on the site. The main difficult appears to be the scale. The council are talking about a capacity of 1500 which is obviously no good for our level of football. In any event the regeneration of Britwell is not going to happen any time soon and certainly not under the current council so it is pie in the sky anyway.

Yes Nelson you're right, but it's hardly worth replying as it's all been said before - some people have listened, others haven't. And as Martin said anyway, I'll probably be an old man before anything gets built there.

I wouldn't bother replying either. The topic was posted by a long term opponent of the scheme---just a sad old man trying to stir the pot. Pity he hasn't got anything better to do.

Considering that board is supposed to be a "community" forum, it does seem to have more than it's fair share of old miseries whose sole purpose seems to be wallowing in negativity, moaning about the previous council and everything they did or didn't do and disagreeing with other people in an often rude and dismissive way.

Is that really what the "community" of Slough is like. I hope not.

But.....that board is worth reading just for Cllr Janik's contributions. He sure am da man <img src="/images/graemlins/wow.gif" alt="" />
