In short, I was trying to point out that "or the horses and the cows (ohhh that would be wrong, they are both female!!!!!!!)" is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in a long time.

 

A horse is no more 'female' than a dog, a cat, or a human necessarily is. Horse is the generic name.

 

Generic? Look it up.

 

Oh. And it's 'bullock'.
