Lack of fixtures

Recommended Posts

As we are only due to play 28 League fixtures this season could our club not enter the capital counties trophy again this season in which E T F C were successful in 2002 or are clubs that are in the vase not eligable. Also the Roy Bailey Trophy which may give a run out to our sqaud players ?

Walthamstow Pennant "share" at Waltham Forest i.e their old ground .. and the Avenue are at Town Mead.

And share Town Mead with Chingford Town, who I have been told may this season have an influx of last season's Enfield FC reserve players. Maybe Hollie can confirm if she reads this?

Wouldn't swap but may like their old club and didnt want to change to Leyton Pennant etc etc, bit of a farse really...Pennant becomes Walthamstow Pennant because Walthamstow Avenue packed up...........Walthamstow Pennant join with Leyton Wingate (who packed up?) to become Leyton Pennant. Leyton restart and claim their name back succesfully. Leyton Pennant get new people in and become Waltham Forest, thereby all old connections gone. Walthamstow Avenue start up again and Leyton County change their name to Walthamstow Pennant!

Not sure who has told you this, but was obviously somebody who knows that my Step-Son is Manager of Chingford Town. They have put 2 and 2 together and come up with bull****. As far as I know, most of Last seasons Enfield Reserve players have left the club, but NONE of them have gone to Chingford Town. Both the Reserve Team Manager and myself have also left the club. I wish them all the best for the coming season.

Why would most of the team and the manager walk away. From what I have been told this was a very successful team. Are there problems over there? Who is Hollie, why would she know anything?

Just had a look at Enfield's Ryman 2 Fixtures.

And you think we (the ESL) have problems....

... by my reckoning, if they lose their FA cup game they WON'T have ANY fixtures in September! Or am I missing something ?

Surely it's about time leagues have at LEAST 18 teams (I would prefer 20) ?

Comments.

It's a serious problem that needs to be sorted Lack of fixtures surely means lack of revenue. Ryman div 2 may be disolved next season according to forum gossip, so there might well be some clubs that need a league , Who knows 3 or 4 could be E S L bound.
