Fixtures

Recommended Posts

Reading the postings, it seems no one is happy with the small number of league fixtures this season. It's all very well for people calling on the League Chairman to change things, but I wouldn't have thought he can. I may be wrong but I would have thought that any change to the format has to be agreed upon by the League Management Committee, asuming there is one?

Out of curio, have ETFC (or anyone else for that matter) made a protest through official lines about either the number of fixtures, or what appears to be a fixture glut in August? <img src="/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" />

I think it is early days to be complaining about anything! I presume there is a new league fixtures secretary. Let's give the guy a sporting chance.

September is taken up with national cup competitions (Hopefully) so lets see what happens. Winter is yet to come and the rearrangement of fixtures etc because of the weather.

According to the ESL (Mitoo) website, there will be a group stage in the League Cup and a knockout GBMT. I suspect that Len Llewellyn is experienced enough to know what he is doing with the league fixtures. I see some people are still accusing him of bias even with Ilford now out of the way. Talk about a thankless task!
