This weeks Gravesend Reporter contains an interview with Andy Ford in the 'My Day' feature. Highlights include Andy's belief that it's important for the manager to be physically fit as well as the players. Over to Andy:

Yes Ive always enjoyed our rivalry with Gravesend its a good healthy rivalry that on the whole is good natured.

Its not like the stuff we get from Billercay or Grays who are just jealous of our success.

 

When Canvey played that classic game against Gravesend near the end of the season 2 years ago I stood alongside some Gravesend fans and had a good chat with them and they congratulated us on our win that night.

Cant wait until the game on the 17th should be a lot of fun.

The official attendance was 4098, because that is the capacity of the ground. Those of us who were at the Notts Forest game will recall a similar, perhaps smaller crowd of 6000.

Most people I have spoken to agree that 6500 was a truer figure.
