According to the Observer there is a meeting taking place midweek between Martin Deaner and the council. Are fans allowed to go view the proceedings or is it strictly private?

You don't seriously expect to find out any more than 5 minutes beforehand do you?

To be honest I think private meetings will do more help than ones where fans are invited anyway. To have, say, Chris S and Roy representing us, along with Martyn Deaner being present with representatives of the council, would be more beneficial as points can be put across more clearly without people potentially shouting objections to what's being said from the sides.

Currently no members of the Trust have been invited. Given that Cllr Stokes and Martyn Deaner clearly have some differences to sort out I would have thought a private meeting would be the most appropriate course of action. Then again, this would completely contradict the stance taken by BILLD who have slated Labour for holding secretive meetings and doing deals with Deaner without other councillors knowing about them

Of course, it may be that Labour realised years ago that the only way to make progress on any issues was to have 'closed' meetings - that way there is no chance of the opposition parties fussing and bickering instead of getting on with the job of making Slough a better place to live!
