OK, guess what!!!!!! I'm bored (again!!!!!), so after reading all the usual websites and weblogs that i do on a daily basis, i decided to find out is Humpty was indeed pushed.

 

I mean, he was an egg!!!!! Surely it wouldn't have been a wise decision to be sitting on a wall in the forst place, and he must have been obviously careless to fall off!!!!

 

So i have come to the conclution that Humpty was pushed <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

 

Poor Humpty!!!!!

 

But you know what, i have found the reason behind the Humpty saga!!!!

 

From the East Anglia Tourist Board in England:

"Humpty Dumpty was a powerful cannon during the English Civil War (1642-49).

It was mounted on top of the St Mary's at the Wall Church in Colchester defending the city against siege in the summer of 1648. (Although Colchester was a Parliamentarian stronghold, it had been captured by the Royalists and they held it for 11 weeks.) The church tower was hit by the enemy and the top of the tower was blown off, sending "Humpty" tumbling to the ground. Naturally the King's men* tried to mend him but in vain."

* NB: The "men" would have been infantry, and "horses" the cavalry troops.

I know - that one was about the plague, and the reason why they were on about the roses was because they had tissues filled with roses, which they smelt and kept close to their noses, because of the stench of death, but also because they thought that if they smelt nice things then they woudln't die. It was the bad smells that killed!!!

LOL!!!!! No!!!! That's what they thought at the time!!!! They dies because of all the rats, and the bacteria, and the dead bodies lying around, and of course the plague!!!!!!!!!!! (but they didn't know this at the time because they didn't have the technology at the time!!!!!!)
