but a cd player (because i have to drive long distances everyday) is also a priority to me as well.

Markyate to St.Albans is not a long distance, you can drive it in 10 mins, I have CD tracks that are longer than your journey!

gertcha would of found said supermarket had he followed my instructions to the letter <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

On the loan front, these providers offer varying rates and the lower the loan value the higher the rate. Sainsburys were good because they give you 3 months breathing space.

I read that if you are a day over 22 years old you should be able to apply for a loan with Lombard.

There is also a big extra that you pay for protections, do not take these out. Instead get an income protection plan from your bank, sounds complicated but essentially one policy covers your loan payments, the other covers your monthly wage, surprisingly the income protection is cheaper and covers more!

10 Minutes?!!!!! How fast were you driving?!!!! Even when i drive on those roads at gone 11pm, and there's nothing on the roads then, at 80mph it takes me at least 20 minutes!!!!!!!!

Try driving in rush hour, sometimes takes me up to 45 minutes to an hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would make Markyate 26 miles away!

When I drive to the TV station in Flitwick I drive to the M1 at Markyate and I can to Fltwick in 25/30 mins

Then it's going to be between £700-£1000 because it's experienced a lot of wear, most dealers would offer about £800 as a part ex, depending on how much profit they have in a vehicle. Anyone taking on a car with that mileage would expect to see the need for a new engine or gearbox in the forseeable future. You may be best running the vehicle into the ground till one of them go, because it will give you very cheap motoring for the time being.

A lot of this stuff I mention because I had to re-evaluate what I had in January and wrote off the Beamer. I ended up breaking even with the write off and decided because I travel very high mileage 25-30k per year, that I would get a work horse, so I ended up buying a V reg Nissan Primera for £5500 with 45k on the clock, it's got air con, a cd changer, a 2.0 engine and does a job. Through a lot of hard work I owe nothing on it and it's very cheap to run.

The moral here is Claire, whilst the 206 is a really nice looking car, you might want to look at something that does a job, rather than something that takes the form of a bird's car! I reckon you should look for cheap Jap car Toyota, Nissan something that will be a work horse for you like your Corsa. Personal taste does count for a lot with motors, but I only buy German or Jap.

It is about 15 miles away i think. I'll check my clock thingy later!

Yeah, but i don't drive on the motorways!!!!!! Especially in the mornings, and rush hours, plus in order for me to get onto the M1 from St.Albans i would have to go well out my way to get onto it!!!! Granted i can come off at either J9 or J10, and would probably take off 5 or 10 minutes, but i know these roads so well that i don't need to take the motorway.
