Well that was one of the weirdest away trips I've been on and a new entry in the worst away grounds I've been to.

 

I thought Romford's old Sungate ground was bad but Greenwich Boro where Fisher staged the game was nothing more than a park pitch!!! No turnstiles, very little cover, no seats and no burger van. If you want a burger you have to hop across a busy road to Mcdonalds!! I'm now reminded why I gave up eating McDonalds!!

 

Bar was OK, nice and big!

 

Walk from the station to the ground and back was pretty scary. If you thought Grays, Tilbury, East Thurrock was bad you ain't seen nothing yet. You come out of the station into a scene that looks like the end of the world! Deserted streets, a boarded up pub, tower blocks, burnt out cookers. Man I've never walked so fast through that estate in all my life. I honestly thought Thornsy was going to stop and buy drugs off someone!!

 

Scariest moment was some old black bloke driving past us as we walked back to the station and he suddenly started laughing really loudly! Man that was freaky! Station wasn't much better! Kidbrooke station looked a complete dive, it was a case of getting the first train out of there even though that was going to Blackheath!!!

 

 

Weird, weird day. I only hope Fisher are not playing at that ground permanently!!

I quite like seeing the darker side of Britain Laz, maybe 4 years sharing at Boreham Wood has had some sort of effect.

Been to Dulwich before of course (still Sth. London)- now we are in the wilderness of Ryman 2 I'm sure there's a whole bunch of 'great' grounds to see this year. Newport IOW in a couple of weeks should be good.

Yellow - I guess now that Thornsy is on his way to media stardom he gets his drug supply the same place all the celebs do. Bar in Soho- name escapes me at this moment...
