Extra Games 2004-5

According to the Mitoo thingy we appear to have a new cup competition this season, called the League Charity Cup. (If this has been previously mentioned then apologies for having another senior moment).

The League and Gordon B'stard (of which Romford are holders) Cups are listed along with this new one. Anybody got any more info?

Must have been all those years in the Ryman that made me forget. Although Romford didn't play for it in 1996! It's a bit awkward playing yourself when one has done the double!

According to the idiots guide to the ESL, it has only been contested once - back in 1971-2 - when Billericay beat Witham, and it doesn't even make it into their honours list.

Also, on that tack who plays the champions, the Gordon B'stard or League Cup winners. In the old days, the League Cup was always of the higher profile, because the Garry Fisher was like a repechage competition, but now both cups are of equal significance.

This could be a good scenario, three teams on the pitch. Romford, Townies and Concord in a three-way match.
