whats the best compilation duran duran c.d. to aqquire..

preferably with a few mixs such as planet earth 'night mix'

but preferably without all the totall bollox mixes they came out with later when they realised no one wanted to listen to thier new stuff

There is a compilation called Strange Behaviour which is full of their mixes. It's a double CD, though the second half is full of the later stuff (1986-1993). The first half is quality though, with all the early classics in their 12" form. Girls On Film, Rio, Planet Earth, Reflex, Wild Boys etc.

 

Best singles compilation is the Decade album though, which has the best of their singles from 1981 to 1989. The one titled Greatest came out in 1998, and had a handful of extra tracks, but the Decade compilation is slightly less 'watered down'.

The original album it was on (The Wedding Album) is about their worst.
