Making predictions in July as to the final ESL outcome has the propensity to leave egg on ones face. I know that Concord have lost a few players (and boss of course) to Tilbury I understand, but until the paw prints are on the signing-on forms, then everything is pure conjecture. Still, as long as we don't finish bloody fifth again.

How do you fancy your chances in Sideways League Two, and have you heard anything about Alan Fenn coming to Romford?

Thanks for pointing out the mistake.....

Was still thinking about Captain Chaos from a different thred..!

Re the prediction table....

Agree that people who make predictions are there to be shot at.....but thats the fun...!

No doubt once the pre season fixtures kick off my opinion will have changed once again....

Re our chances in Div 2...

We have lost five very good players....and it will be interesting to see what new players will be joining us.....I'll have a better idea in a couple of weeks time. Alan Fenn is the new manager so I dont think he'll be joining you...

Here's an interesting addition - one club hardly mentioned in the predictions is Barkingside - the new system of promotion means that, unlike before, they could "go up" despite their groundshare ( ie Cray ), so they have something to fight for now. A little birdy tells me that they have a number of new players and a new boss ? So that's one more to watch out for !

Remind me - weren't Barkingside the hosts until their tements bought them out, then they became the tenants?

So how was it they couldn't have gone up before, as it was their ground? I'm confused.

Perhaps its me that's causing the confusion . When Barkingside were the hosts at Oakside they COULD go up but Isthmian Joint What's it Rules forbade them after they bacame tenants to the old Ford United . Now the Isthmian thingee has gone and the F A Non League Cttee rule the day, they are free again to "go up" if they wish !

Well good luck to our friends at Barkingside...

I understand that Rod Stringer and Dave Walker are the new management team over there.

I remember Rod kicking a few of our Ilford lads back in the late nineties when playing for Stansted.
