Past managers

Recommended Posts

I would like to set up a list over Billericay Town's past managers, but then I need help from other blues-fans!

I'll manage Calder and Edinburgh myself... <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

But to start with: For how many years was Kendall boss?

And before him...

And who where our manager those glorious FA Vase-years?

Would like to set up a list over past chairmen and captains too...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When I first started watching Billericay in 1986, Peter Burton was the player manager and Kevin Maddocks was club captain. A certain John Stacey was Chairman! and Rod Moore was Youth team manager!! Shortly after, Burton 'went for a Burton' to Australia. Steve Shorey (I think) took charge for a short spell afterwards before John Kendall stepped in. Stacey stepped down as chairman at some point and Brian Cornes took charge. When I've got a mo, I'll nail down the dates for you.

Off the top of my head, I think our managers, Vase onwards, ran: John Newman, Colin Searle, Paddy Betson, Dave Emerick, Andy McDermid then Peter Burton. I don't recall Steve Shorey, but I know JK took over from Brian Moffatt. Oh and John Newman returned after Colin Searle's run I think to form a joint-manager partnership with Steve Bone, they were in charge when we got promoted to the premier in 1980-81. Have i forgotten anyone?
