Nice piece in the NLP yesterday

'S funny how Leyton fans always think that they do the "right thing".

Like thinking its right to force segregation at an Essex Senior League game and cram 2-300 fans in a space suitable for 50! Whilst fewer than 50 of their fans have space for a few thousand.

And I know that there is exageration in the preceding paragraph call it poetic licence so please dont sue!

Thanks for the info.

Just one last point to clarify, was there a Leyton County?

There was. They used to play at the old County Ground on Leyton High Road in the Spartan League then moved to the outside pitches at Wadham Lodge where they joined the London Intermediate League which became the London County League.

At the beginning of 2003/4, when the London County League folded, they renamed themselves Walthamstow Pennant (just to add more confusion) and now play under that name in the Middlesex County League. They still play on the Wadham Lodge pitch outside the main ground which is now Waltham Forest's but used to be Pennant's, then (the original) Walthamstow Pennant's, then Leyton Pennant's.

According to you we have no fans make your mind up you are not even sure what team you support EFC or ETFC oh I will run with the crowd and support ETFC, let sleeping dogs lie and stop dragging the past up and move on you anorak you are the among the small minority of ETFC supporters that won't move on thats because you are a small minded anorak, as I said to all the genuine ETFC SUPPORTERS good luck for the coming season, how painless that was!

Cheers mate. Good luck to you and yours too, at least until such time as the teams meet on the pitch, then we'll bring out the rivalry for a good airing.
