Busby Finch and Dean Nyman

Recommended Posts

I have been reading Wingate and Finchley FC's Note on Dean Nyman and he have been with them for 4 years now and looks a solid signing. Others will remember him from his days with EFC.

There is less on the web about Busby Finch except on the EFC old web site and the pen of the great Dave Bromage. I remember him from Enfield FC days - I'm sure Jim Cuneen will tell us how many games Busby played for EFC etc.

Shouldn't someone at ETFC take the lead on this? Or, if force doesn't work, perhaps a tin of Tuna would do the trick!

Incidentally I used to work with the famous 'Bob (The Cat) Bevan from whom you've appeared to steal Billy's nickname.

He might not be too happy that you've done so and sue you from his big pile of public appearance dosh.

Poster Bill

"Billy the cat" got his nick after standing in as goalkeeper when the original goalie got sent off and putting up a tremendous display.

"The Cat" is a nick which is also shared with Peter Bonnetti. Did Bob steal it from him.

I think you'll find that the original keeper did not get sent off. There wasn't an original keeper as Hall was injured and the second choice keeper was away. That's why Billy filled in against Basildon.

What rumour is it that you have heard. What about Lee Harvey will he be playing for the Town and what about the chap from the Ivory coast.

Any other possible signings?
