Chelmsford City.....

Have apparently gone bust (Isthmian forum). But someone on their forum denies it, which is confusing... don't know who's telling the truth, all I know is an awful lot of clubs seem to be having one crisis or another !!!

Chairman Quick to Shoot Down Rumours

City Chairman Trevor Wright put fans’ minds at ease at Friday’s Open Meeting by quickly reassuring them with regards to the Yellow Advertiser’s article "The Clock is Ticking."

Trevor reacted angrily to the story which claimed the Club would soon be wound-up due to maladministration.

Admitting that the Club has been behind in submitting last year’s accounts to Companies House, Wright stated: Some of what the Advertiser wrote was rubbish. Our accounts have been completed and will be submitted this week."

Speaking at the Baddow Recreation Ground Clubhouse, he went on to say: "Admittedly they are late, and we are to be fined £100, however our priorities of late have gone far beyond admin."

Obviously the main priority has been the new Ground at Melbourne Park, but when the accounts are given in they will show a £64,000 operating profit, which has arisen because of the writing off of loans from directors.
