Hello Frontman,
So you front a band- are you extremly famous? if not why not post your name as I have done.
Also having children I can tell you a youth club will be just as bad for drawing the unsavouries in as a football club.Is it not more realistic to assume you are a N.I.M.B.Y that is "not in a million bl**dy years".

?????? What are you going on about woman??? If you cant say anything to me that contains positivity or at the very least SENSE, please dont address me at all! Jesus. If you looked at my website URL I posted, all would be revealed!! Hey, you can even have my mobile number if you want it, its on the site!! (Actually, it sounds like she has stalker tendancies!?... ooohhh)

Anyway, the offers still open, if you want the best cover band in Berkshire to power out a few hundred watts of publicity for you, just get in touch!

GRAEME.

Hi Frontman

I don't know Tara personally so I won't say anything about her, but ignore Roger - he speaks just as nicely to his fellow supporters

Should we ever get the club back up and running and have a well attended clubhouse, I'd hope to see Daft! play there on a regular basis.

Hey Frontman, I responded to you nicely yesterday. I'm quite interested in your band idea but no-one else has given any views (see my reply further up the page before Tara's and Roger's).

Yesterday wasn't a particularly good day for the Reb's so don't judge too harshly. STFC fans are a good bunch without exception

Thank you, Roger, for your helpful comments. A little more fuel for those delightful people who frequent the 'This Is Slough' forum.

Frontman, thank you for your honest opinions. I think this is what we would probably have expected to be the views of many Britwell (or anywhere else) residents, whether or not Mr Janik and his friends were around to stir up trouble. ANY development around Kennedy Park would need to be applied very sensitively, with consideration for the needs of the local residents.

However, there is only so far that the "Don't Really Want It In My Back Yard" attitude can be accommodated these days. Development land is in very short supply, and there is no way that we could go and build a stadium on a green-field site, as this would (quite rightly) antagonise a whole heap of other people.

Just a thought: the ex- land-fill site identified as a possibility for STFC is presumably large enough for a non-league football stadium, plus some practise pitches, car parking and office/ancillary accommodation, 'and then some'. If that is the case, if the stadium were not built on the land it would not be long before it was ear-marked for housing instead (over which decision you would probably have little chance of saying 'no'). At current packing densities you could probably get 50 houses on the area occupied by a football pitch, so the whole site would presumably take 100-150 houses.

So that would be 300 cars to and from the new estate every morning and evening.

Personally, I would prefer the football ground!

Incidentally, as far as road access was concerned, from the map it looks like it would be possible to make an access road to the stadium from the Trading Estate. That would certainly reduce the impact on the local residents. (My apologies, I do not know the topology of the Kennedy Park area, so I do not know how practical this is.)

I think I speak for all STST members in saying that we would like the Feasibility Study to proceed to completion, considering options which included a stadium, and those which did not, to allow everyone to weigh up the financial implications to the council of the cost of development in each case. Only then would it be reasonable to start arguing about the pros and cons of each solution, and determine what impact it will have on the council tax-payers of Slough.
