Support from outside the Borough...

PJ-STFC

Recommended Posts

The Councillors have a duty to listen to the views of the residents in their respective constituencies, which is fine for the supporters who live within the Borough boundaries.

But what about us 'ex-pats' who live in foreign climes?

What approach should be taken (in a letter), and to whom should we address such communication?

Speaking personally PJ, I would see no harm in writing to the council and the Committe and Members Secretary c/o the town hall is a good place to start and stressing the importance of football in general and pointing out that a club with such an illustious history draws many ex-pats back into the borough. When you do come into the borough doubtless you spend some money petrol, beer etc and therefore help to boost the town's economy. The club promotes the borough and provides community links.

Also there is no harm in writing to the local press stressing similar points.
