I hope you are not referring to me when you say everyone has lost the plot? It was I who made the earlier comment about how Billy got to know.

Right, here's my two pennies worth. If a player cannot attend training on a regular basis then he should not be included in the squad. Being fit is not the only consideration. If a player is not around then he cannot prctice set plays and discuss tactics. Also, it cannot help team morale for a player to come into the team when his personal circumstances allow it. For these reasons, Matt should not have played last season during the holidays and billy should not be included in next season's squad. I am not having a go at either of them as there are far more important things in life than non-league footie (career, education etc) and I would welcome both players into the squad and team if they can commit themselves to training as well as playing.

 

I wish billy all the best, you have been a great entertainer and servant of ETFC and I hope that when Matt's studies have finished (not sure when) he is able to come back properly.

 

My big critisism is what has already been discussed and that is the way in which this has all come out. Someone (and I do not know who) should take this by the scruff of the neck and ensure that ETFC acts in a more professional way in the future.

Wasn't "Fords Sports Stadium " in Kent Avenue Dagenham up to about 1959 and is now part of the great Ford complex. You are certainly showing your age old boy !
