Billy The Cat

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone It's Billy again just wanted to put an end to this debate, I didn't think I'd get so much response and I didn't want to cause a rift at the club but the decision has been made

and I will just have to accept it.

So thankyou all for your support and I wish ETFC

all the best for the future.

Billy it looks like your posting style is just like your playing style, going on and on,which is why you are so popular with the supporters.

I know thats why I enjoyed watching you.

What good is a player who will not be able to get to training ANY Thursday? If we have a midweek game that means he will never get to train - in that case surely he can't expect to get a place in the side over someone who does turn up for training? It's not as if Billy is so fit he doesn't need to train, is it?

You lot seem so worried about Billy missing Thursday night training. What about when Matt Negus goes to uni then comes back and gets into the team without training at all, and a player like Lee Digby trains every week and gets dropped for him.

Sounds like one rule for one and one rule for another Mr Chandler

If you go to

Does not the face between the O and the U in the banner look familiar. Dont you think that Matt was playing regularly for Loughborough Dynamos in the British Universities Sports Association. Dont you agree that Loughborough University has probably the best training and sports facilities in Academia and surely Matt was using these.

Oh and who is that in the squad photo.

What has Matt Negus playing and training with loughborough got to do with him playing for Enfield town you might as well let the cat go for a run on his own

You will never have the definative answer to a question like this as all sides will have their own view on it and while Jim is the appointed manager of our club team matters must be left up to him,but I would like Billy to stay.

It would be so easy for Jim if he managed efc he would only have a couple of supporters to listen to but at the Town there is a couple of hundred of us,the poor sod cant please everyone no matter how popular the player is it is his decision.

P.S. I wont Billy to stay, after all as someone once sang `its the year of the cat`.

The fact that Matt did play for Loughborough demonstrates that he does train and his fitness can be relied upon.

Well obviously he was academic otherwise he wouldn't have been at Loughborough would he.

agree with you tho here arky me old mucker - no one should be guaranteed a place in the side! would like to see Billy stay tho and play if selected. I'm sure Steph would as well!

Just because someone plays and trains with one team it does not meen that he should get an automatic place with another one just when he feels like it as it is not fair on the players fighting to get in that team every week

Team selection and the signing and firing ofplayers is of course down to Jim, presumably with the help of his staff.

What is being moaned about is the apparent way a loyal and commited players was told he was no longer with the club - IF this is the case, as I say, Jim is not around to comment.

This IS our business, as both Jim and Billy are our employees.
