if this is how the players are going to be treated then etfc needs to reconsider its future . we get that useless Clarke back when no one else wants him and lose a player that bought joy to many then so be it etfc will never win the esl or go further unless we change the manager and get one who doesn't hold grudges and picks the team on merit

Thanks for last season Billy,i will miss watching you play for us this season.

I agree that information is NOT finding its way to the right people at the right time, this MUST be sorted out before OUR club turns into THEIR club.

"lost faith" - if you do not renew your membership then you lose the opportunity to change things.

Remember that half of the current board need to seek re election this autumn; and whilst they have done a good job to date; some people think we could see some improvement with a few (not wholesale) changes. So stick in there mate and cast your vote accordingly.

As for the BIG loss of Billy; well as I said earlier CRAP. but....

we get knocked down we get up again......

Billy, I hope you can talk to Jim before you burn your boats. We are all just going by a newspaper report and as I said before, it may well not be true. Jim may not have said what the paper said he said, if he is on holiday he can't deny or confirm it yet, so maybe you could assume nothing till you get it direct from the horse's mouth.

In the event that it IS true, yes, we (the fans and owners) definitely require an explanation. This would not be the way to treat loyal players, especially as some seem to be able to leave under a cloud then come back again.

All the best, whatever, Mr Cat.

sorry but I'm not a supporter of another club but for reasons i do not need to use my normal name on here.

just think what will happen if we do not progress from this league??

will the supporters still come ??

will we still part with OUR money to see esl year in year out??

we have no ground to call our own no regular decent income and if things do not get sorted out soon we have no future.

I'm sorry to have to say this but that is the way it is and this opinion has been expressed many times this year by many different people around the garden.

and to finish welcome home bubs

agree with the last bit; be good if BBB comes "home"

but come on if you have been thru all the [****!!****] over the last few years how can you walk away just when the club/supporters/and probably your mates need you most

go on stick around, and make a difference.

looks to me like Billy Cove has been well and truly screwed over. Lets face it the least he deserves is a phone call from the powers that be to confirm whether or not his situation with regards to training on Thurdays is acceptable or not.

Instead he finds out first through this forum !!!

The paper must have received this information from someone within the club, don't you think that same person should've spoke to Billy himself?

If this is how you man manage your players, i can't see too many players who have a bit about them tollerating that kind of treatment.

All players want from the management and comittee of any club is honesty unfortunately at alot of club this is not the case.

By the way Southport jr don't you find your comment about always sticking with your club ironic when the whole creation of Enfield Town was because of the decision of your fans to no longer support Enfield FC?

Southport you sexist, you sound like the person behind those great Yorkie adverts.

"Football, its not for girls"

Not saying all Enfield Town fans originate from Enfield FC, but your daughters feelings towards her club suggest that if her dad had corrupted her a couple of years earlier she would've chose to stay with the Enfield FC and stick with her club unlike most of ETFC supporters.

I don't want to start a thread on here that has been covered time and time again, but i think i have a fair point.

Anyway all the best for the season ahead, but are you sure Jim Chandler is on holiday. I read in the Gazette he had gone away for a man management course, shame for Billy Cove it weren't a couple of week earlier.

PS: I think we all had better wait for JC to get back from Holiday, or surely Billy you have contact numbers for the Coaches, try & speak to them. I think we should all settle down & really it is between Jim & Billy nobody else.

Lets be careful out there!!!

Sexist? ME? yes quilty me lard

"football not for girls" yip agree; one of the funniest adverts on TV; according to junior and Mrs S

As for corrupting Junior; err those that know her will know a more "strong willed young lady" you could not meet; I've little say in the matter

Essex - for goodness sake don;t get personal; this is for fun afer a hard days work (I've had 3 this week!)

to finish on the thread

Wish Billy would stay @ ETFC; or if not hope he doesn't play against us until it is in a VETS match

I'm not happy that we have treated another player in this way AGAIN after what has gone on in the past.

Billy is an awesome talent but we do need fit players which was a general fault with the squad last season. Billy every good wish for the future you were a hero for the town and I for one loved your style of play.

We need commited fit players this season and Jim picks the team. I know Jim has signed some excellent new strikers - hope you got this one right Jim!

As a fan I don't like players reading on here they are no longer with the club. We owe them more than that! Give me their phone number and I'll ring them so I can say thank you and best wishes too.

1) Billy was not told on this forum he is no longer with the club. It was reported in the Advertiser.

2) Local newspapers, especially free papers, do not spend a lot of money on good journalists but pay to sensationalise stories. We do not know what Jim or Billy has said to the advertiser we only know what has been reported.

3) Anybody who posts on this board as an unregistered poster should be treated with a large degree of scepticism. It is probable that they are stirring it and we all know that there are a lot of people that do not have ETFC's best interest at heart.

4) Essexboy and others are obviously stirrers.

5) We know that Jim has a loyal following, (Rids, Turner, Saint etc.) For these people to stick with Jim demonstrates to me that his man management skills cannot be challenged. It is the young prima donnas that get out of their pram and they ought to grow up and realise that the club is bigger than any one of them.

6) I genuinely wish you luck Billy in whatever or wherever you decide to go. As you say you have to work until 7:30pm every Thursday in the West End it seems to me that with a will you could get to Brimsdown at around 8:30 and do a little training to show willing. If sometimes you are late because of traffic etc. these things do happen but I can understand a manager not excusing you from Thursday training entirely. But there again I do not know the full circs.

Dont forget Saint was upset at Keke's treatment last season ,and hasn't been seen since.

Jim believes in loyalty and great attitude. If he feels one of those qualities is missing in a player, he will drop them. BUT is it a coincidence that ETFC have had to release so many players through bad attitude.? Jim's management and experience are both excellent. Maybe he needs to hone his 'man management skills' a bit more.
