Training tonight

Recommended Posts

33 (yes, I counted) players were put through their paces at Oaklands College tonight. Quite a few new faces I didn't recognize but of the first team squad, I saw Castle, De Souza, Wraight, Zoricich, Campbell, Sargent, though there may well have been more.

A few of last season's Reserves were also there, namely Ben Cogger, Will Davies, Ricky Perks.

Capleton and Robinson were in goal (not the same one!) in one of the mini-games going on.

That's all, rumours of a significant signing next Monday.

Ricky Perks came off the bench and scored an extra-time hat-trick for some pub team in a Sunday League cup final at the end of last season, GHA.

With the plethora of goalkeeping talent at t'Park, perhaps we're having a look at him to join with Neily Gough to form The Mighty Saints 50 goal strike force for next term.

No.

I can contain my excitement.

It's bad enough with Webbo's "Nah-Nah-na-Nah. I've got a secret". [Vince Buck re-joins the Senior Management Team [football] at Clarence Park], without you joining him. Webbo, that is. Without you joining Webbo, not you joining the Senior Management Team.

AFF and son: Aren't you going to ask me about the rumoured significant NEW signing next Monday?

Hi Rob.

a]. Which Monday is that likely to be, then?

b]. I saw in the Herts Advertiser that SC was expected to sign James 'Robbo' Robinson following the Battle of the Bulge. Did that happen?

c]. Two 'keepers. Hmmnnn. Are we going to have 4 goals on the pitch again this season?

d]. News of a former Saint. I hear that following his 22 goals for Arlesey last season, Craigy Mackaily-Smithy has signed a 3 year contract with the Daggers. He scored their winner in a PSF against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, apparently.
