RE: Players

Recommended Posts

The current position RE players is this:

We have 17 training full time and 6 part time.

The majority of full timers are direct from pro clubs.

The full squad has not been picked, places are still up for grabs, so we can expect some good stuff in the pre-season games, as players try to impress and win a place.

Confirmed Squad Membes are: Sapps, Trotty, Dorms, Stowie, Hockers....Jones, Cousins, Gallagher, Forbes.

in answering my own query to a degree think i found this on the hendon website re cousins and forbes. lots of ambition from ricay, no ambition from hendon...no contest!!!

Scott Cousins

Midfielder who joined the club pre-season. This skillful player joined from Chelsea for whom he made 27 Reserve Team appearances. Scott made his debut for Hendon in 4-1 win over Basingstoke Town in Aug 03 at The Camrose. Scored his first goal for the club against Hitchin Town in early November.

Steve Forbes

Signed early November 01 from Conference side, Dagenham & Redbridge. Steve, a midfielder, was on loan to Braintree Town before heading to Claremont Road and making his debut in the 6-0 League defeat of Enfield at Meadow Park, Borehamwood. Steve has also played for Stevenage Borough, Millwall, Colchester Utd and Peterborough Utd (on loan). Steve scored his first goal at Claremont Road against Chesham Utd in November 2001. A stylish & talented footballer.

Assuming it's the same Neil Cousins, he has long and proud history of scoring against us for Braintree and Heybridge, and was also one of the 4 (four) sent off for Braintree in the FA cup tie a few seasons ago.

Keiran Gallagher is an experienced wide midfielder, who has played for a number of clubs, including Dagenham and Hendon. Finished last season at Windsor and Eton apparently.

Steve Forbes is for me the pick of the bunch, a hugely experienced midfielder who has played plenty of league footie, as well as Conference for Daggers. Played over 100 games for Hendon, and is by all accounts the sort of player we've lacked for ages, a dominant, ball winning central midfielder.
