Trust Board Meeting !!!! READ THIS AND ACT !!!!!

The Slough Town Supporters Trust met at the polish Club last night, a pre scheduled meeting which after sorting out portfolio's/post's for the board members to deliver on your behalf, the meeting was overtaken by events of the council's bomb shell to cancel the Britwell Project of the Football club's re sighting.

 

After 5 years , and an offering of a possible new site on land adjacent to Kennedy Park-Britwell, and a scheme that the fesiblity study was beginning to put into place the wishes of both parties and all the hard work that Christine How from the Britwell re generation group were making good headway.

 

To have the leader of the not yet formed council to make off the cuff remarks which could and will have a devistating effect on our future !

 

Also in our opinion not even given the fesiblity study the chance to fulfil some our our hopes but also the hopes of the Local Residents, to acheive a project that I am sure would be a win win for all concerned is not only a disaster for STFC but also the people of Britwell too...

 

People will have their doubts about the project, and reservations about football troubles and traffic problems, we agree these should be a major topic , but rest assured we could have dis spelled some of those unfounded miths and slurs on the good name of our supporters.

 

Even in the Britwell Independants own pre election handouts, Items like they need more things for there area EG:

 

-To open a playcentre for Britwell's children

-To have more facilities for teenagers and young children.

-To encourage a community spirit in every neighbourhood.

-To create a proper park with tress, seats and plants on Kennedy park and provide outdoor facilities for our community to enjoy.

-To improve Britwell and make it safe and better place our whole community can be proud of.

-To build a combined sports hall, swimming pool with other community facilities on Kennedy park for the benefit of Britwell residents.

 

Why they are not to differant to what we want to ! so why so much anti feelings towards the project...the project will acheive most of the above !!!!!! and more !!!!!

 

Why can't we ensure these wishes are encompassed within the project and all groups to ensure this is done....NO NO NO NO NO is all you hear...

 

If this project is not worked on together we stand to lose it all , simple as that....and the above will not be acheived either we need each other (is the stark reality) wake up and smell the coffee this is a project that deserve to win for all parties !!!

 

SUPPORT THIS PROJECT AND TOGETHER WE CAN ACHEIVE !

THESE LETTERS MUST BE AT THE TOWN HALL BY 5PM

ON TUESDAY 13TH JULY AT THE LATEST

 

Asking questions why ? do you want to stop this project ?

and you firm believe that this project can work !

if not where are we going to go ?

Who's going to fund it ?

Who will the football clubs name be sold off to ?

Etc Etc,,,,,

 

If they want to help , what are they going to do to help us....

 

 

But please write questions....they must be many !

 

Also ask you as supporters to be at the town hall for an all day vigile and also be in the public gallery for the answering of the questions.

 

PLEASE BE THERE !!!!! Tuesday 20th JULY 2004

 

Plus as the board we are to partition the council and also ask questions to the first meeting of the council which is to be held at the town hall on 29th July 2004, so again another all day vigile please.......

 

The press will be covered....by the board.

 

Also planned a Slough Town Day in the high street on Saturday 31st July - all fans asked to attend the high street from 11am to 1pm - to show our present's in the town and to highlight our support for our team and also to promote the fun day at the polish association on Sunday 1st august from 2pm until 6pm.

 

We will all move off to Maidenhead to see Slough Play...if we are still around !!!
