Just the press released issued by MD to everyone here, there and everywhere about him not being happy about how his plans for the ground are going - basically stating he feels like there is a stumbling block round every corner with some person trying to stop it. Gary has a copy that Roy brought round his house last night I do believe?

Interested party ??? coming here to glout....

Yes there are going to be big problems - with press release ..thursday and friday....

Its time to wake up and smell the coffee time...

but I was not going to post any articles until the new board of the supporters trust have met tonight (wednesday 7th July ) to make a formal responce to the article ...

I will do my best to get the info on line by tomorrow mid day !! 8th July 2004.

We are going to fight and not go away !!! is my message to the new cabinet members ..and if anything to go by last night at the hand over meeting... all I can say ...is that not just football supporters that will be un happy !

And the time has come to meet and talk....

and our dear friend John Tebbit made a very good remark yesterday .....on J <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />ohn's strong point !!!

if you look back in history...the only sure thing you could read about in the local press all the way back to the early 1900's is that Slough town Football Club was in the news... every edition ....since then !!!

A very important part of this town and it's history...

Too important to lose....

and as supporters we will need to do this !!

regards chris sliski

STST secretary.

We all know that Martyn walking away if the plans don't go through is on the cards. But does anyone know the actual severity of the situation as things stand right now, regarding the above? Is the feasilbility study still going strong?

I believe that the feasibility study will continue to its conclusion. Stokes would be foolish to the extreme to stop it and incur a huge bill just because of a combination of his own personal views and misinformation.

If Martyn isn't there to be involved though, I don't know where that leaves us.

I agree with Ian - the political fallout which can be made to fall on the head of Mr Stokes if he chooses to throw away a quarter of a million on his personal interpretation of the wishes of Britwell, (presumably based on that biased and statistically dubious survey conducted some time ago), could be quite considerable. Not to mention the fact that Slough Town Football Club is not a political issue, to be supported by one group on the Council and not another. It is an entity in its own right, which has honourably carried the name of the Town for a hundred years or more and given great local and at times civic pride as well as pleasure to a wide range of residents and people around Slough. The Council of whatever political hue has a duty to deal with it respectfully and to meet its commitments and obligations to the club, by whoever they were made.

However on his second point, I await the press release with trepidation.....If Martyn Deaner does walk away, the Council must be made to recognise their responsibility in the severe fallout which must inevitably be made to follow.

So so true Andrew, but they just might not care about the tax payers or the football club, this is just one of a few contracted scheme their want to stop ! our's plight is just a small part of this overall problem they face with such flipant off the cuff comments....

They also if hand back the club have to run, fund and look for a new owner for us for 6 months !!

and take on the debets of the club too !!

What can we say , Slough NOC will do nothing for the residents nor the well being of our club...

Its our duty to be at the Town Hall for the Friendly fixture (all Day on the 20th and again on the 29th July) to let them know we are here to stay... if they don't want us in Britwell where do there want us ? They need to offer some other land ASAP....or else we all stand to lose everything we all beleive in....

Slough Town Football club ....within its own borough representing our town....at a good level....

we are proud of our town and loyal to its causes...its really time for that loyalty to be returned....

and for all what we might think....MD wants a ground and team to be proud of too...

and of course for his loyalty some return for his efforts to keep STFC operating for those extra 5 years..... its only fair....

please please everyone spread the word....

Town Hall all day 20th july and 29th july if you can , but most importantly be there for the public gallery from 6.30pm...

we need hundreds !! treat this as a home game V windsor please.....

cheers Chris Sliski

Check other posting later to give you details of the first board meeting of the trust. which was dominated by the pending crime against our Towns football Team.

a crime...and a possible disaster.....

We'll need to advertise this by any means necessary.... something in the local papers... getting other local clubs involved.... posters in the High Street.... it needs the kitchen sink thrown at it.
