Did any body go to the council meeting last night at the town hall with the newly elected councillers and what was there thoughts on the previous encumbants plans on Britwell and kennedy park are they serious about scrapping all proposals that labour had in the pipeline

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I don't think there is an open council meeting until the third week in July.

This was a meeting for the hand over of the cabinet from the old to the new ...no business conducted....

 

however the 20th July will be the first full meeting ...open to viewers...with the 29th the first cabinet meeting whereby the new cabinet will be briefed on the on going project....and

then they will bring these forward for discussion

Also subject to the articles in the papers this thursday and Friday...we as supporters still need to act and by writing questions for answers at the first full meeting set for the 20th July at Slough Town Hall....

 

you need to write to the committee and members secretary at the town Hall ....

 

by 5pm on the 13th July 2004 .....

 

lots and lots of questions by Slough Residents !

please ...just one line questions with supplementary questions....

BTW

 

This action was planned already (after Richard Stokes) had made it quite clear that he did not want a football stadium in Britwell.....

 

Also planned to be confirmed an all day vigile outside the town hall on 20th July...and public gallery visit.

 

Plus we are planning to send additional questions to the first cabinet meeting to be held on 29th July at the town hall....This will be co-ordinated by the STST Board....

 

whereas a few members will be allowed in council chambers to put forward these questions and to receive answers !!!!

 

while we will have the public gallery full !!!

 

 

We need you all........

I spoke to Rob Anderson in The Moon & Spoon last night, after this meeting, and he told me that the Slough Labour Party are still fighting for the Footbal Club.

hi all dave here am i right we now have provisonly a concil meeting and a friendly against wembley on the same night, oh whoops could this be a problem for some of us or is the meeting in the day dime cheers for now see you all as soon as poss

I think Dom mentioned in another thread that the Wembley friendly was to be confirmed. Could be wrong.

Last i heard it still wasn't confirmed, however if it does go ahead i believe our attendance at the council meeting would be essential and take preference over the match.
