New ground setback?

Well isn't that just great? What Green Belt Land? haven't you got alternative sites? I thought that if Sadlers Farm doesn't come off, you were looking at other sites i.e. Waterside (that is the right place?).

A progressive club (and as a 'Ricay supporter, I can't deny Canvey that description) needs to be able to grow and your ground just ain't the place. Surely the "powers that be" know this? I mean, they can't deny that the success the club has had over the past five or six seasons is just a "flash in the pan"? And if the club wants to progress (even consolidate), then a development of facilities is what is required. And you just can't do it at Park Lane...It's a hole (no offence). These people must see that, if the club gets a better ground, better facilities, then it would benefit the local community.

A shame if it doesn't go ahead....For the club and the supporters, present and future....

SKATEPARK GETS THE GO AHEAD

Castle Point Council`s planning committee last night gave the thumbs-up to the £100,000 venture to be built on green belt land next to the Waterside Sports complex in Somnes Avenue.
