LAST WEEKEND'S TRAINING

Recommended Posts

Got to see the squad as well...about 20 to 24 players turned up. Blackie was training and I can tell you all, he looks fitter (having lost a stone and a bit) and from what I was told, applied himself well. As did the other lads. Matt Jones said that their attitude was right and they all worked hard. He was pleased, as was Justin.

I can't tell ya who is on contract, who we have bought, who will be picked (other than what news has all ready been released) and so on as there are a couple of things that need to be finalised on that front and the club wishes to avoid the confusion of the last pre season. I have been told that news will be forthcoming soon, so be a bit patient. The club is working on this and we will have a team we can be proud of.

Few other bits and bobs:

On player signings: we have a number of players, in addition to those already announced, who have already signed Ryman forms (enabling them to play for us). I understand there could be some movement on contracts this week so watch this space etc!

On Friendlies: We're sending an U18s + triallists XI to Great Wakering, whilst our U16s will be playing their Southend United counterparts at New Lodge.

On the Programme: Few new features in the offing including from the duggout (every issue) and from the terraces (an occasional piece). The whole thing is being revamped, so if you didn't buy a prog last season do give this season's model a go! I believe JL is writing the first from the terraces, so it should be interesting <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And don't forget, in the new, full-time era the players are training every day!

Couldn't there be two prices for season tickets, one with and one without a programme, this way season ticket holders can gaurantee themself a programme if they want one and will give a better idea of how many programmes should be printed for each match
