Good luck to t'lad at Kettering. I'm not sure that he would have got the call at Clarence Park ahead of Neil Gough anyway.

Do we have new list of which of these 45 players will be travelling to Germany. The website says a party of 24 are travelling. She you amend that to say eleven!

I've just realised something...

 

Did we have 45 players training round the outside of the pitch last Thursday? That's quite an achievement. Especially considering only 12 (maybe 10) players are going to Germany.

 

Is the pitch getting narrower?

At the start of the Roberts & Cook first season, the pitch was narrowed by about 6 metres and it was obvious that, either [or both] we were to be playing 3-5-2 or our full backs lacked pace.

 

The pitch was unchanged the following season and I asked Steve Cook why the thing was so narrow. In a near classic response, he replied "We never thought about it".

Well done, GHA. I wonder whether, inadvertently, you have identified the problem which prevented Drew Roberts from signing and committing his future to The Saints.

 

It's not easy to abreviate 'Drew'. Drewy or Drewo don't really sit terribly comfortably.

 

Amongst the 45 players what trained last Thursday [allegedly], he may have felt out of place with Sarlly, Matty, etc. It's remarkable that Craig Rydeheard has settled, on that basis.

 

Robbo would have worked allright for me.
