The sad thing is that the only people defending Slough Town Football Club are the fans. The Owner and Officials have said nothing to protect their investment. Is there any way that somebody could get Mr Deaner to write authoritatively putting all the records straight and correcting all the inaccuracies about the New Ground and Wexham Park - in fact telling us all what the true situation is might be a novel idea!! It is sad that the case for the Club is being undermined by the "Official Club" silence.

 

It is also worthwhile challenging the new Leader of the Council on what grounds he believes that the people of Britwell don't want the Stadium - was it that laughable survey that Louise decimated in her post some months ago? If that is a fair analysis of the views of Britwell, then heaven help democracy.

 

The Wexham Park situation cannot be ignored either since so many people seem to think we can just go back there. But does anybody know there what is the true situation? Would Mayfair Communications consider a return and under what terms? The answer to that is now needed if only to rebut that view, or at least let everybody know what the hurdles are.

 

Finally, the council, whoever is in power, need to be brought face to face with the promises they have made, and explain what is their view of the situation and what are they going to do about it. As Chris S says in another thread, the Club has helped to put the name of Slough on the map and has been a good local citizen for over a hundred years - turning their back is not an option for them if they want to retain a reputation of integrity in their dealings with local institutions.

Your right Andrew , I understand martin deaner has already written to the council and that is where he wants to deal with it , no mud slinging competition....thats up to us !!! LOL

 

I was so insensed by the stadium blight reply by L gregory....I have already sent me reply that it contained lots of miss knowledge and wrong information...It is up to us to ensure that they don't forget we are the tax payers too....

 

even thought we are classed as holigians and second class citizens...because we are supporting our towns team and representing our town !!!

 

As per your request to meet Richard Stokes, I have already had a telephone conversation today that he wants to meet and hope we can arrange this asap....

 

Which we will do as your elected members and we will report back asap....
