Players Released

BFR

Recommended Posts

According to the grand journalist in the local rag, Eddie has told Alan Foster, Freddie Hyatt and Paul Barrowcliff that they are surplus to requirements for the new season.

I wish all of them the very best of luck, particularly Barras who has been a good servant to the club over a number of seasons.

Yep have to echo BFR's comments - best of luck to all of them, especially Barras who has arguably been our most consistant player since we got kicked out of the Conference and has stuck by us when it was probably easier to walk away.

I see Mets has contacted Eddie with a view to returning next season. I personally hope it happens as he is a good player who gives his all. Brandish is apparently a good ball player in midfield who can spot a pass and Saulsbury has been Thames captain for the past few seasons.

- Christian Metcalfe

- Matt Brandish (Ex Oxford Utd)

Turned up but did not train

- Ian Hodges

- Freddie Hyatt

Now Gone

- Alan Foster (Released)

- Paul Barrowcliff (Released)

Where the Bloody hell are you?

If he's got a suitable replacement lined up, I think it's a positive move. Although he was a great shot-stopper, I think most would agree Foster has his limitations. And Eddie himself reckons he's not very professional, which is obviously something only the management team would know and be able to judge.

Obviously, all the best to the released players particularly Barras who has been outstanding for the club. I am sure Foster going will please some more than others. Surprised you know who has not been on here cheering. I think we should have kept him even if a top replacement has been lined up. The keeper was more or less the only position without competition last season so it would have been good to have two battling for the No.1 spot. But I have every faith Eddie will sort it.

Ooooooooo. Get you.

Course I did Norbert and attended every game thereafter etc etc. I am not getting started on that. It is in the past.

Let's hope you get on better with the new keeper.
