I, too, am astonished that the chairman of a football club has never taken the time out to meet the guy who runs the official website.

 

Season ticket prices for St Albans are £200 next season - I know that Cambridge Utd of Division 3 (sorry, League Two) are charging only £230, for a far higher standard of football. And you get to sit down. I'd be interested in what the average price of a season ticket is across the board at their level.

 

A question I genuinely don't know the answer to... do our £200 season tickets allow you to sit in the main stand, or are STH expected to pay a further £1.50 a match to do so??

 

Just remember - we only qualified to play in this division because over 210 minutes against Heybridge and Bedford, we were fortunate enough to come across two sides who were even more defensively shocking than us.

 

I couldn't get to the Bedford game, but have seen it on video since. For a neutral, or for a Saints fan caught up in the hysteria on the day, it will probably be remembered as a cracking game.

 

Watching it sober, on video, for the first time, I have to say it is worrying to say the least.

Some quick answers...

 

Webbo is the contact for the official website, I just do the updates. I have no particular desire to meet Mr Gibson but if he wants a word I'm always available.

 

The £200 includes sitting in the stand, all friendly, league & cup games. I missed two home games last season and it probably still saved me about £50 (I haven't worked it out exactly).

 

What was worrying about the Bedford game? This is level 4 non-league football, not the Champions League.

re: Bedford. The football was dreadful. If anyone ever asks again why EFM feel the need to drink so much before games, here is your answer.

 

If we finish Top 19 next season, I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong. If, as I suspect, we end up in the bottom three, I'll come on here, stick my tongue out, and say "I told you so!!" <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
