essexboy as you have confirmed that it isnot true, i will put the amount i was told, 70k a year, yes i maybe young but if you want to call that peanuts then i wouldnt mind your salary.

 

i was simply asking the question as to whether or not what i hard was true.

My point being that our managers wage is much more like that of a paperboy than a full time salary.

 

If you have been told how much the new manager is earning then i am guessing that you also know who he is.

 

It doesn't take much to realise that any team in the Ryman League is not going to pay their manager 70k let alone a club that is in Ryman 2 and with a smaller playing budget than the previous season.

 

Reportedly Gary Hill (Hornchurch) & Steve Claridge (Weymouth) are the only 2 managers in non league football earning that kind of money.

 

Do you honestly believe that a club like Ilford are going to pay that salary to a manager in his first season in charge of a team at senior level?

 

I know you play for the Abbey, i bet your team mates can have wind ups for fun. if you believe that you'd believe anything.

Does that mean that the Foxes are going to discard their second half tactic of throwing themselves down and feigning injury in their own half to break the play up when things get tough for them for the 2004/5 season?

yes mate, we have signed one new quality striker who was playing in the ryman prem last season. cant say who until he signs tho! also our coach is talikng to a couple of other players, not for me to say who as will only look stupid if they do not sign.

 

also a few new faces at training, some who look like good players. the main thing for us this year is we have everyone available now and only one player with a suspension hanging over them.

 

we are hoping for a successful season.

 

what about from other teams like sawbo? i hear (ok essexboy, no doubt i have been had again!) that they are moving to a new ground?

 

also have any of the basidon players gone to concord with the manager?

 

have concord kept their squad together?
