Hello my name is Reckless,

 

 

The Barnet FC website, www.barnetfc.com, produces a page (The Reckless Guide) dedicated to each Barnet away fixture with information about the ground and the club we are visiting. For example the best places to eat and drink, where to stand or sit in the ground, plus travel, admission and programme details.

 

I would be grateful if someone one could make contact via E mail - tonyhammond@btinternet.com - and answer a few relevant questions to help me complete the page. The finished product will in a home programme prior to the game and on the official website accessible from the home page

I have just two memories of Barnet really.

 

Barnet 0 Enfield 7 in the FA Cup, and

 

Barnet losing at home to Torquay the other year.

 

Tony cottee really should have been knighted, you know.

I saw them beat Newmarket 4-2 in the FA Cup once. Barry Fry was manager, Stan Flashman Chairman, I think. Andy Clarke (Wimbledon, Peterborough) Roger 'Harry' Willis and one of the Stein brothers were playing for them at the time. Never heard such a moaning lot of fans anywhere, they only stopped when they were 4 up..

Me, Laz and Fenton went to Barnet vs Yeovil, the same night as a Fan's Forum.

 

We stood with the Yeovil fans and Yeovil won 3-2. It was fierce.

Ah, Harry Willis. Went to an England non league match somewhere in the midlands (Kettering or Nuneaton). It was dire. Halfway into the second half Willis started warming up in front of us. I advised him very loudly to sit down as "we may be fed up but we're not hard up". Cue fans around us collapsing with laughter whilst Harry gave us his best 'I'll see you outside look'. <img src="/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
