See Chris's act now thread----Here's where to find out your councillors name.

Writing to them is probably best. Many of them are newly elected, and yours may be one of their first letters, so might be more than usually

influential.

Writing to the papers is easy, and e-mail is as good a way as any.

Best of luck, and be prepared to post any interesting replies on this site.

To add to that, Geoff Howard stood on our doorstep (pre-election) and said to Kay and I that "the Conservatives support the Football Club." When we quizzed him about what the Conservatives have actually done his reply was, "elect us in then we can do something".

I shall be writing to him to remind him of this although anyone with a Conservative councillor should remind them of their support and ask how they plan to show this now they're in power.

My first link has an extra . in it, so try this

I wrote, 2nd class post from London, yesterday to my councillors (all Conservative).

This evening one of them called round to see me (well done Postie Rebels and well done Cllr Dhillon)), and assured me that despite what the papers said, no decision would be taken until the feasibility study was complete, and that any decision would be a fair one. Of Cllr Stoke's comment he said one shouldn't beleive everything you read in the paper, and pointed out that any decision required more than 1 persons opinion.

If anyone lives in Cllr Stoke's ward, it might be interesting to get his slant on all this, direct from him.
