If Watford and Millwall's youth teams play in the Youth Premiership, Laz, then I am completely right.

Watford XI, Millwall XI, Luton XI and Charlton XI will be pleased that they'll be playing in front of 2,000 spectators.

2,000 spectators will be pleased to get the chance to see some real quality down the park, with the likes of Watford, Millwall, Luton and Charlton entertaining from upon the hallowed turf. Even if they'll have to pay 10 quid to get in.

Yeah right.

I've no idea what league they play in and I really am not interested. Most of there players will end up playing for us for a season or two eventually anyway when their careers fail and they are replaced by cheap Icelandic imports.

They haven't got a fking clue.

I'm glad none of those [****!!****] know this board is still going, or I'd tell them exactly what I think.

What happened to the days of 8+ St Albans players being in treble figures in the 'all-time appearances' list?

Polston?

Clark?

Risley?

Turner?

Haworth?

Vickers?

Mudd?

Daly?

All in multi-treble figures for the Saints.

No pride, any of these new [****!!****]. Fk 'em.

Not quite sure qhat point you're making there, Zealster, but I have just checked the record book.

Of the squad at the end of last season the leading players on the all-time appearance list looks like this:

Corey Campbell: 134

Gary Wraight: 119

Derek Brown: 95

Miguel De Souza: 86

Scott Oakes: 76

Rob Smith 76

Greg Deacon: 50

Next season's going to be worse than the one just gone.

I do so hope that you are wrong.

I remember thinking last season that the esteemed manager was a complete t*sser. Then he goes and signs a couple of decent players (now gone !) and things turn out RELATIVELY okay.

oh hum - who said supporting city should be easy ?

Moving on from Euro 2004...

[color:"red"]yes probably best

One of the most depressing things for me has been sparked by a post somewhat in jest by AFF on the Football Forum [unofficial sector]. We've had a crap season just gone, finished 19th, but on a high by winning more of a relegation play-off final, 5-4, with a goal in the dying minutes out of the top drawer, by a player who won't be here next season.

[color:"red"] Reasons for his departure are on the site - Good player Watts, but had his critics when he joined....

Forgetting about the successfulness of last season, let's look ahead to the next. It is indeed historic, with the Saints moving into Conference South. HUGE. MASSIVE. All sorts of new and exciting places to visit and teams to demolish at the Park before scraping a 2-1 win at their place. And how many citizens in the fine city and district know about this? Sod all.

[color:"red"] Any ideas??

Banners, posters, club shirts in shops, flags, bunting etc. Actually, scrap the shirts idea, we don't actually know what they'll look like yet, even though we're in late June.

[color:"red"] not sure bunting is a good idea but hey. As for the shirts I hear they are on order from Italy (including replicas so should be ready for the pre-season (fingers crossed!)

And besides, what is there to get up for and excited about? [color:"red"] The new season? The only news we've had since May 8th (Bedford game, that's over one and a half months) is that one of the worst managers in the Saints' history [color:"red"] oh now come on - I can think of a couple - Neighbour?? has signed a new contract. And we've signed some chap from Bedford, another team that did crap last season. [color:"red"] They actually did alot better than us - just lost the play off final

Just think, it'll be the Centenary season in 2008. [color:"red"] so it will!!

I can't wait. [color:"red"] nor can I!!
