I've been watching a lot of England videos over the last few weeks from the 70's, 80's and early-90's.

 

Watching footage from Mexico 70, Spain 82 and Mexico 86 with their grainy pictures and over-the-telephone commentaries was what International football was all about. Proper reminiscing and lamenting about what could have been. A genuine sense of bad luck and what could have been.

 

How can we look back on the past three or four tournaments in twenty years time and feel a sense of nostalgic regret? Crystal clear pictures and overpaid, over-familiar twats. The past four tournaments, starting with World Cup 98, have all sort of merged into one for me. I couldn't even tell you the team line-up vs Argentina in 98, or Romania in 2000, or Brazil two years ago.

 

Yet the team that lost to the Hand Of God in 1986, or Germany in 1990 just rolls off the tongue.

 

And no fking women back then either. If one more woman in this dump comes up to me and tries to hold a conversation with me about football this morning, I'm going to fking deck her. They have ruined our game. I'm not interested in Beckham's legs or Owen's [****!!****].

 

I should be able to take my son to White Hart Lane, for a 3pm kick off on a Saturday afternoon, and buy him a pie and a pint, and be able to use a football rattle and not see a bit of skirt in sight. Save it for the disco on a Saturday evening.

 

And what's with tarts like Gabby Yorath and Kirsty Gallagher presenting football shows on TV. And you get some twat like Barry Venison there happy to let it go on.

 

Listen girls. Leave our game alone.

 

And bring back grainy World Cup pictures and telephone commentary.

People who don't watch football week in week out shouldn't be allowed to comment either, watching Ally McJock on the premiership on a Monday night from your armchair doesn't qualify you to have an opinion

I don't watch the Bill and claim to know about law enforcement!

I've been saying for years about no women at football and children can only come if they are forced to support thier local team, and are quiet, at 13 they can start looking up and respecting the firm with a view to joining the junior branch at 16 and joining full time at 18.

They must not and I repeat not look like or like the blazin sqaud and must converse in the queens english and not talk like they are a rapper from the east coast!
