Sandy say's its been tough,we have faced awkward issues but never shirked our responsibility.

We took the bold step of bringing the issue of Margate FC's ground development at Hartsdown Park out into the public domain and issued a series of deadlines to try to force action .

Sadly to date we are still awaiting news that agreed and binding funding is in place for the Stadium to be redeveloped but are monitoring the situation closely and will act to ensure it remains as a Public leisure use

The [***!!***] has no choice but to keep it for "public leisure use" that was the provisio that the land was obtained by the then Margate Council in the first place.

 

Is he also keeping the ratepayer updated as to the true cost of the Art Centre. (This must include all Kent ratepayers as money is been obtained from KCC) As I oppose that project can I deduct my element from my rates to Maidstone Council that goes to KCC??

The Turner C is now to have a steel facing rather than concrete and will be open in 2007, the year the local Tories are booted out.
