3 Part Exclusive:

1 - Slough have been in talks with a highly rated stopper for the new season. I cannot reveal his name yet as he is still officially contracted to another club at this time.

2 - This unfortunately means that Alan Foster will be released by Slough. He is already in talks with 2 Ryman Division one clubs.

3 - Ian Hodges will sign a 2 year contract, in the next two weeks. The terms have been agreed and the contract will be signed at the beginning of July.

More to come soon.............

Hmmmm.

Don't really trust anonymous posts, but it would be nice to talk about footy again as it seems we have another battle ahead of us with the council.

I hope that points one and two are valid. To have a top class goalkeeper at the club would be excellent and if Hodgey does sign a two-year deal then I think all fans would be very happy.

As for Fozzy, I think he gets a lot of stick which is unjustified. Yes he made a few errors mid season, but played very well at the end of the season and I think he's been better than what we have had recently ie Zepherin, Blake, McCann. I'd personally like to see him stay and battle it out with another keeper at Slough.

I tend to agree with Chris on the anonymous posting front. I would have to question the logic of releasing Fozzy if we have not got this new keeper on board already. Alan wasn't a firm favourite among the supporters last season but equally I wouldn't want to see him pushed out of the door before we got a better keeper on the books.

In defence of the Foz, there was only one keeper last season who was head and shoulders above him in terms of ability and that was the Worthing keeper - he was class.

Unless it's officially from the club, take it all with a pinch of salt. There are various discussions taking place with a number of players at the moment which Eddie and his team are clearly looking at adding to what is already a talented squad of players.

Plenty of developments between now and the season start in middle of August, and I am sure at the appropriate time, press releases through the website will be made by either Eddie and Roy to set the record straight.

At this present moment in time, none of the above is true as far as I am concerned until the club say otherwise.

Some people may make things up, but thats pointless to me. My previous points are true, and I believe that you will find that Glenn Harris, has also agreed his 2 year contract although I dont know if he's signed his already.

Also Eddie is in talks with another striker, to replace Tony Boot, although both Miller and Seedal will be retained. The retained list is already known, so it's amazing how the powers that be haven't released it to the fans yet.

Well Mr Insider, I sincerely hope that in a couple of weeks time you are able to come back on here in a couple of weeks time to say told you so. Until then, please don't be offended if we don't take your word for it under an anonymous title. Speaking of which, does making up a name like The Insider count as pointless to you as well?? <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

What would you expect to hear? The club is not even in pre-season yet so it is not known who will come back apart from the two players who are under contract. The only thing that is know for sure is that Tony Boot has left the club. Last summer around this time there was a mass exodus of players who joined Steve Browne at Borehamwood. The nonleaguedaily site is pretty good for transfers and the only Slough player on the move as has been well documented has been Tony Boot. That only one player has definitely left the club with only a couple of weeks until pre-season is reasssuring in my book.
