Information From The Conference AGM.............

June 08, 2004, 08:09 PM

1) Nationwide are to sponsor all three divisions for the 2004/05 season.

 

2) There will be 4th Officials at all Conference South matches, and they will have

electronic indicator boards.

 

3) Unlike the Conference National, players will not wear their names on their

shirts, and numbering will be from 1-11 for the starting team and 12-16 for

the substitutes.

 

4) Each team will have the same opponents on Boxing Day as New Years Day.

Clubs are to recommend the opponents they would prefer.

 

5) Three teams will be relegated each season from the bottom three places in

the league table.

 

6) Three teams will be promoted to the Conference National. The champions of

Conference North, the champions of Conference South and the overall play-

off winners*.

 

2nd v 5th in each division

3rd v 4th in each division

Play-off Final in each division

Winners of North Play-off v Winners of South Play-off to find the overall

winners.

Hi herts blue.

 

You have me worried now. As you are an Official of the Club, and particularly in view of your, shall we say, specific areas of responsibility, I would have expected you to know. If it's wrong information, blame the chap from Margate, needless to say.

 

I've just had a thought. A fourth Official and an electronic board thingy. Who is going to pay for that, I ask myself. That will take care of a dozen or so of the [paying] attendance. It's a good job that the average is going up significantly in view of you know what.

When I was speaking to Laz he said the club had asked to play Hornchurch on Boxing Day.

 

Hopefully you'll play them when we're away to Leigh RMI or Tamworth.
